(5-7 minutes).  For this assignment you may select one of the following:

 

Note:  Avoid toasts, roasts and best-man speeches

Your speech should be characterized by: an introduction, structure, transitions, style (use at least two [2] stylistic devices), audience

adaptation, and conclusion.  Delivery should be extemporaneous. 

  

Written statement (due just before you speak. See note below) 

 

 

Note:  Just prior to speaking, loan your written statement to a friend who will introduce you and announce the speaking

occasion. Ask your friend to turn your written statement in to me.
