Students Predict the Future
For Visual Communication
Visual communication will adapt and grow with technological advances and society's increasing need for visual stimulation.

As a society we are moving away from reading and are heading for quicker means of communication. Visual communication is playing a greater role in how we receive information.

Computers will enhance the effectiveness of movies, newspapers, and magazines. Visuals will be used to enhance speaking ability. Communication links will be visual.

A large increase, especially in technology of computer and television images. Virtual reality will make a lot of money.

All transactions will be easy to omplement through all media and will be carried out by all educated people.

Computer generated graphics and virtual reality are going to dominate the motion picture industry.

The furure of visual communication is alarming. Not only will everything we see be of higher resolution and visually more stimulating (which is a good thing), it's just that we won't be able to trust the images we are seeing are real.

The future has three things in store for visual communication: advanced computers, HDTV, and virtual reality. The future looks exciting.

Visual communication will dominate every aspect of life. We will have visual overload. We'll look at the darkness for relaxation.

The mass television audience will be able to participate in game shows, talk shows, news surveys, and so on. Also, the computer will be able to send a picture of the person to the TV studio where it can be seen on air replacing live "studio" audiences with live "home" audiences.

Television computers will be the future of visual communication.

Due to technology I believe that we'll lose touch with reality and will become "slaves" to modern computers and technology such as virtual reality.

I think the future of visual communication is totally unpredictable. Each day new computerized methods are introduced. It is impossible to imagine what kind of technology we will use ten years from now.

Children will be able to take classes at home and everyone may be able to take a vacation without leaving the office. However, everyone must be introduced to these new media or they will be left behind. I also feel virtual reality should be used with discretion--we all need some human contact!

The future for visual communication is limitless. What the mind sees today, the eye will see tomorrow.
