World Wide Web Design and Production: Welcome to a Brave, New World

Non-print production in an interactive multimedia (IM) format is a synthesis of information about framing and composition, typography and graphic design, and film. You must be aware not only of the production values for existing media, but of the ways this new medium should be analyzed. Existing print-based courses offered by the Department provide necessary skills in computer operation, graphic design aesthetics and critical analysis. This course will strengthen your computer expertise, expand the definition of graphic design to include presentation and networked formatting, and provide a basis for the critical examination of non-print media.

Specifically, you will learn how to manipulate HTML coding to produce your own homepage and work with students to produce a homepage for a client.
