In this assignment you will further manipulate text to create a more complex layout.
This step-by-guide pertains to the version in the Mac lab.
Press the Command + F keys to get the Find File application. Type in "Lorem Ipsum" to see if your computer has the file. If not, you need to move to another computer. If so, remember where it is located

Open QuarkXPress
In File, create a New file with a Document Setup of 8" x 11" with .5" margins all around. Your work area will then be 7" x 10"
In View, show Tools, Rules and Measurements
Zero lock the top-left margin to 0
Use the Type tool to type your name, assignment number and date at the bottom-right margin
Select the Picture tool. Make a box of any size
In File, select Get Picture. Use the image "oyster.pct" in the folder Mardi Gras within the folders New Orleans, Pictures, Pictures&Text, Lester, and Instructor Folders. Within the Item menu, select Modify and type in 150 within both the "Scale Across" and "Scale Down" boxes. Click OK
In Item, select Frame. Make a 1pt black border around the image
Use the Move tool to move the picture to .75" x 0" on the margin
Use the Type tool to create SIX separate text boxes
"Shocking Picture" headline: Helvetica, 18pt, and Bold
"Congressman Starr" subhead: Helvetica, 12pt, Bold and Italic
"Byline": (Use your name) Helvetica, 12pt, Plain
Body copy: In File, select Get Text. Find the dummy text file "Lorem Ipsum" usually in the folder named "Crow". Make the text Times, 10pt, Justified and Plain. (NOTE: You will need to use the Delete key to fill in a gap in the copy). Donšt worry about matching up the dummy text exactly.
Cutline: Use the "Lorem Ipsum" text, Helvetica, 12pt, justified, and Italic
"AD GOES HERE": Helvetica, 60pt and Bold
Put in a 2pt rule
Adjust text blocks to resemble closely the work below
Print your work on the black and white printer
