Assignment 10: Picture Story Pictures 2
Depending on my critique of your previous pictures, for this assignment you will need to continue to take pictures that satisfy the five types of pictures needed for your picture story.
The five kinds of pictures are:
overall scene-setter: describe in one picture the essence of your story. The photograph should readily place the main subject in a clear context for the reader
head and shoulders portrait: preferably a candid moment that clearly identifies your subject for the reader and that reveals the personšs personality
close-up detail: a tightly cropped image of an object or of your subject that tends to symbolize the personšs personality and story
medium distance interaction: a picture that shows the person communicating with some other person
ending picture: an image that sums up and concludes the set of pictures as if your work was a narrative story
Assignment specifics:
Shoot AT LEAST five NEW pictures for EACH category above.

Pick the best one from each category including previous shoots.
Make your prints as close to 8" x 10" as possible.
Scan them and print them with a black and white printer.
Pick out your most favorite image and make a color print.
Write on the back of all of your pictures the category to which they belong.
Write cutlines for each selected print on a separate sheet.
Turn in your previous pictures and all of your new images.
