Some typographical changes have been made in the textbook, which should be corrected in the second printing:

p. 213:  The last margin note on the page is:

Instead of "1. using external reports to asses authorship”

Substitute: "1. using external reports to assess authorship”

p. 279:  The definition of grounded theory in the margin is:

Instead of: "a set of explanations that has immediate relevance to a specific field setting under
                     investigation. Participant observers . . .”

Substitute: “a set of explanations that has immediate relevance to a specific field setting under
                     investigation. Grounded theorists . . .”

P. 333: In the eighth line,

    Instead of “one aross”

    Substitute: ”one across”

p. 572, the definition in the column for "focused comparisons" lines 5 through 7

Instead of "other variables are related to difference in the sizes of study effects on primary"

Substitute: "the sizes of study effects on primary variables are related to differences in other variables.”

p. 576: The last sentence of the first paragraph is:

Instead of Since this value is greater than .05, you would not conclude the focused comparison
showed a statistically significant influence from the moderator variable of number of studies.”

Substitute: "Since this value is greater than .05, you would not conclude the focused comparison
showed a statistically significant influence from the number of  moderator variables in the studies.”

p. 587: The table currently is:

Under the column marked “Sex Composition of the Relationship Pairs,” the number in the second row should be 2, not 1.”

Under the column marked “Type of Sample,”  the final number should be 1, not 2.

p. 588:  In the first line:

Instead of “3. Complete a diffuse comparison test for each of the moderator variables.”

Substitute: "3. Complete a focused comparison test for each of the moderator variables.”
