Micro-Teaching Examples One of the requirements for TA's during their first two semesters of teaching is to prepare micro-teachings. Micro-teachings are approximately 20 minutes of lecture or an activity that you will use to transfer the knowledge and skills of one of the given subject matters to your students. We have some video clip examples of micro-teachings from previous semesters in the links below. This will give you insight as you prepare for your own micro-teachings for the Pedagogy 595 course. Please do not copy their work, but just use these examples as guidance to prepare your own micro-teachings. These clips will usually be less than five minutes each. In order to access and view these micro-teaching video clips you need to have the program called "Quicktime" installed on your computer. The CSUF labs already have Quicktime installed and most personal PC's do too. If you do not have Quicktime already installed on your PC, you can type in the word "Quicktime" into your internet browser, find the site and download Quicktime to your PC from there. So far, it has been FREE. To view any of these video clips, you must right-click and select "save target as," and save it to the desktop of your own computer. Then minimize this website and close all running programs down to your desktop. Double-click on the video-clip file you just saved to your desktop and click the play button.
