You will be serving a critical role in the Department of Human Communication Studies. HCOM102 ProfileAs an HCOM102 Teaching Associate, you will lecture and teach students Public Speaking skills using group discussion techniques, multimedia and PowerPoint presentation methods. You will get to try your hand at developing syllabi, developing curriculum, selecting, planning, implementing and evaluating instructional strategies used to teach Public Speaking competencies. You will assess and evaluate students’ progress in communication competencies, offer constructive feedback to students and respond effectively to feedback on your own teaching skills. You will formulate presentations and lead discussions in a university setting regarding specific Public Speaking issues, and you will have the opportunity to develop and manage your HCOM102 course using internet course management software called “Blackboard.”
