In memory of Carli Christina Cummings from Erie, Pennsylvania, who was tragically taken from life at age 15 years in a car accident.  Carli was a competitive swimmer and was the recipient of numerous awards, most recently the NISCA State Top 16 Award for the 400 Freestyle Relay and the Varsity Athletic Award for Swimming at McDowell High School. Carli’s hobbies included water polo, dancing, journal writing, photography, gymnastics, snowboarding and boating.  Taken from one of Carli’s journal writings: “Everyone’s life is a journey.  It is a journey, a ride, and an obstacle.  Everyone hits a bump in the road and everyone makes a wrong turn.  But when mistakes are made, they are not meant to be rewound and started over.  You are meant to learn from the mistakes and use your newfound knowledge in the future.”

All students are encouraged to apply.
