Dr. Cynthia M. King

    Dr. Cynthia King is an Assistant Professor in the Communications Department at Cal State Fullerton where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in theory, research, persuasion, public relations, advertising and entertainment. Her research is generally focused on media effects related to these fields with particular interests in humor, health campaigns, and film violence. Her professional background includes experience in corporate and integrated marketing communication and research. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Alabama in Mass Communications specializing in theory and media effects with a cognate in social cognition and public relations. She received her Bachelor's of Science Degree (1991) in General Communication (Summa cum Laude) and her Masters Degree in Political Science at Florida State University.
